Intent: Why the Rebrand and What It Means

A fresh look, but the same purpose—discover why ‘Intent’ is your guide to purposeful living!

Welcome to Radhika’s Newsletter “Intent”. This is your tri-weekly guide to purposeful living, wealth-building, and personal growth.

Happy Tuesday! I’m so excited to share this edition of Intent. Today’s topic is all about the rebrand of my newsletter and why I decided to make that decision. 🎉

What I’m Sipping On This Month

This month, I’m sipping on this beautiful tasting Korean Plum Tea, which has an amazing sweet and tart taste at the same time. Although I like to drink this tea for pure joy, there are some health benefits to it as well: it stimulates appetite, detoxifies your body, and helps with food digestion.

With that, let’s get into the rebranding of this newsletter.

Why the Rebrand?

Most of you have been here since the very beginning of my journey, supporting me as I’ve shared insights to help you live your best life. This all started as a blog called Surviving Adulthood, which later transitioned into my personal brand. But as blogs lost their audience, I pivoted to newsletters and launched Life by Design: Mind, Money, and More.

And now, it’s time for one more evolution: Intent.

The word “intent” has been quietly shaping my life for years. It first resonated with me during yoga classes when my instructor would encourage us to “set an intention for your practice.” It surfaced again in my mentoring sessions at work, where I’d often ask colleagues, “What’s your intention for your career?”

Earlier this year, during a tea hangout with a friend, it all clicked. He said, “You should name your brand Intent. Everything you do is so purposeful.” That moment stayed with me. Over time, I’ve noticed how deeply this word weaves through every part of my life: work, family, health, finances, and more. It also perfectly reflects everything this newsletter is about: living with purpose, taking intentional steps toward your goals, and creating a life that aligns with your values.

Over the past year, this space has been a platform for ideas, strategies, and reflections on personal growth, financial wisdom, mindfulness, and more. But at the heart of it all is the belief that a meaningful life doesn’t happen by accident—it happens with intent.

So here I am, embracing this evolution. Intent isn’t just a name change; it’s a reflection of my journey and the mission of this newsletter: to explore intentional living in every aspect of life.

Thank you for being part of this journey-let’s continue to design a life filled with purpose and intent, together.

“Intent” and why it matters?

At its core, Intent is about living with purpose and mindfulness: making choices that align with your values, priorities, and the vision you have for your life. In a world that often rewards speed and multitasking, it’s easy to go through the motions, letting life happen to you instead of being the architect of your own experience. I absolutely despise it when people live passively WAITING for something to happen.

But living with intent flips the script. It’s about asking yourself the tough, yet transformative questions: Why am I doing this? What do I want out of this experience? Does this decision align with my long-term goals and values? How can I make this change?

When you lead with intention, every aspect of life becomes more meaningful. Your work isn’t just a job; it’s a way to contribute your skills and passion. Your relationships aren’t just connections; they’re opportunities to grow, give, and receive. Even your smallest daily habits, like making a cup of tea or journaling, become rituals that ground and center you.

Intent matters because it brings clarity and focus to your life. It gives you the courage to say no to things that don’t serve you and the confidence to pursue the things that do. It’s the foundation for creating a life that feels authentic, fulfilling, and uniquely yours.

This newsletter exists to unpack that idea: what it means to live intentionally, how to align your actions with your goals, and how to embrace both the highs and the lows of the journey. My hope is that each email gives you a nudge to pause, reflect, and take the next step toward your best life, whatever that looks like for you. And yes, we’ll still cover stories, transitions, and financial topics because they’re all a part of living with purpose.

Because life isn’t just about checking off boxes or rushing to the finish line. It’s about pouring meaning into every moment, decision, and experience. That’s what Intent is all about.

That being said, I’m hosting my very first Intent Goal Planning & Ceremony session! If you reside in NYC, please stop by! My hope is that you will walk away from this workshop feeling centered and grounded, empowered with deep clarity about what matters most to you in your year ahead, with a set of intentions that energize and sustain you, rather than incite pressure and fear 🙂 Check out the link below!

What does this mean for the newsletter?

In the coming months, expect the same high-quality content you’ve been receiving: thoughtful pieces about personal growth, financial literacy, professional excellence, and the art of living well. But now, everything will be rooted in the ethos of intentional living.

That being said, your support and engagement is what makes this community so special. So please don’t hesitate to reply, comment, and provide any thoughts through the journey!

I’m incredibly excited to continue growing, reflecting, and building alongside you under this new banner.

Let’s make every step purposeful. 💡
