Welcome to Radhika’s Newsletter “Intent”. This is your bi-weekly guide to building systems that grow your career, creating leverage, and creating a life on your own terms.
Here’s the thing. You’ve done a lot of amazing things. I know for a fact that you’ve had people thank you, managers praise you, customers send super kind emails, and someone out there say: “Thank you. You’ve made a huge difference.”
And then you forgot about it. Something about the human brain forgets all the wins from the last quarter and instead remembers a super awkward embarrassing mistake from last week that does not shut off.
I call it: goldfish memory. (at least, I know for a fact, I have it)

Proof that goldfish memory can be good for you too :)
And when performance review season comes up (or a promotion opportunity, or a moment of self-doubt), your mind goes blank.
That’s why I want to share one of the simplest systems that’s helped me throughout my career.
The Accomplishments Folder
The accomplishments folder is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a folder on your desktop of things that give you the warm & fuzzies. It could include screenshots of: thank-you texts, kind emails from customers or teammates, slack messages with praise, holiday cards or handwritten notes, and your own journal entries where you’re proud of yourself.
I started this early in my career with every role, every team, and every company I was a part of. It took less than 10 seconds. The process was simple: take a screenshot and drop it into the folder.
You must be thinking, why does this matter? So let’s get into it:
Why this matters (more than you think)
1. Reflection
2. Promotions and new roles become easier
One of my mentees was applying for a new role at the same company he’s been working for 10+ years. He knew he was qualified but the competition was fierce. In fact, he was just coming out from being rejected from another job opportunity on that same team. The feedback he got? He struggled to explain the impact he’d made. I told him to start an accomplishments folder to help him be prepared when the same question comes up again.
Now he started keeping track of:
Customer praise
Stakeholder feedback
Project outcomes
His own reflections
And much to my surprise, he took it one step further by building a website that highlighted all of these things. What his customers said about him, what his leaders mentioned during performance development conversations.
So this time around when he went for the role, instead of saying “I think I’d be a good fit”, he was able to show the proof.
That’s real leverage.
3. For the down days
I’ll be the first to admit it. There are many times I feel down, like I’m not enough. As if I’m a nobody and I haven’t made much of a difference in life. It happens more often than you’d think. I deal with imposter syndrome regularly. I deal with self-doubt and low confidence weekly. Upon my research, many other high-performers feel the same way. Partially because of the pressure we tend to put on ourselves and partially because of our brain not remembering all the cool things.
Ever felt like: “I’m not doing enough” and compare yourself to everyone else?
Well, this is where the accomplishments folder can be your reality check.
On the days your confidence drops and you can’t rely on motivation, you can look back and rely on evidence.
It’s interesting, I’ve talked to many people about this and I’ve found that most people don’t keep a track record, either because it’s awkward or not required to track praise or it’s hard to keep up with it consistently.
Introducing: The Kudos Journal
A friend and I put a lot of thought into this and ended up building something to make this simple and do-able for all!
The Kudos Journal lets you:
Create multiple books (work, personal, leadership, etc.)
Add screenshots, quotes, and reflections
Invite others to add notes directly
Set recurring reminders to get notified of your wins
I have mine set on weekly and I’ll be real: on those tough weeks, seeing those messages changes my entire mindset.
This isn’t just about collecting compliments but about building a system for confidence, visibility, career leverage, and self-trust.
If you want to try out the app yourself (it’s fully free of course!), check it out here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/kudos-journal/id6758871192

A lil sneak peak of the app :)
It’s this simple.
I’m going to leave you with something simple:
Download Kudos and create a folder called ‘Wins’
Screenshot one kind note from someone
Add it to the folder
That’s it
Future you will be grateful.
Btw - a few of you have reached out about a potential mentorship. If anyone else is interested, here’s the link to set something up:
